On Thursday 18th October, four Sydney based advisers - Amanda Graham, Harold Milner, John Wardman and Tony Doyle - abseiled 135m (33 storeys) down the 1 Market Street Building in the Sydney CBD to raise money for Abseil for Youth.
Abseil for Youth is Sir David Martin Foundation's annual major fundraiser. Each year hundreds of brave people face their fears to abseil down a Sydney CBD skyscraper to help raise much needed funds for Triple Care Farm, a youth rehab and support program located in NSW. The Farm helps young people across Australia overcome drug and alcohol addictions, provides care and treatment for mental health illness, and support to find stable accommodation, further education and opportunities for employment.
Between them, they left it all hanging in the balance raising over $12,600 at one of Sydney’s most unique and thrilling fundraising events.
This amount was matched dollar-for-dollar by the Shaw and Partners Foundation, bringing the total donation to over $25,000.
