Shaw and Partners appointed as co-manager to the capital raising by Playside Studios News01 Aug 2025

Shaw and Partners is pleased to have assisted Playside (ASX:PLY) with their recent equity raising.

PLY develops video games for PC, Console and mobile, with a portfolio of approximately 60 titles. PLY publishes its own games based on original intellectual property, as well as providing end-to-end game development services in collaboration with AAA game studios and major technology and entertainment companies such as Activision Blizzard, Meta, Netflix Games and Take Two Interactive.  It also has a Publishing arm which provides funding, development support, marketing and publishing of third-party games from smaller independent studios.

The company raised $6.6 million via the issue of 33m new shares at A$0.20. The offer price reflects a 13% discount to last traded price of A$0.23 on 24 July 2025 and an 8.9% discount to the 15-day VWAP of A$0.22.

PLY will offer eligible existing shareholders the opportunity to participate in a non-underwritten share purchase plan (SPP) to raise up to an additional A$3.0 million.

Proceeds from the equity raising will be used to strengthen the company’s balance sheet ahead of major game title launches and general working capital.

Congratulations to Benn Skender and the entire Playside team on the successful capital raising, we look forward to your continued growth and the upcoming PC/Console launch of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, a gritty noir-fueled, action game, that draws inspiration from classic cartoons of the 1930’s and is now the 24th most wish listed title globally on Steam, with over 1 million wishlists and climbing.

PLY is also developing a real-time strategy game based on the highly recognisable Games of Thrones IP under license from Warner Bros.
