Shaw and Partners is incredibly proud of our Brand Ambassadors - Ironman Ali Day, IronWoman Naomi Scott and Dual Olympic kayaker Riley Fitzsimmons - for their outstanding wins at the 2023 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships held at Scarborough Beach, WA. With over 7,000 competitors from 300 clubs around Australia, the “Aussies” is the largest Surf Life Saving event in the world, only comparing the likes of the Commonwealth Games.
On Sunday, Ali Day solidified his position in the sport by claiming his third consecutive Ironman title. Despite facing challenges during the race, Ali's perseverance led him to victory. He expressed his excitement and gratitude, stating: "Australian titles don’t come easy, and that’s just awesome. It’s a relief, and it just feels so bloody good. One was enough three years ago, so to win a third, it’s just amazing." His triumph is a testament to the power of resilience and hard work.
Naomi Scott capitalised on the opportunity to become the new IronWoman champion when Shaw and Partners Brand Ambassador and defending champion Georgia Miller was sidelined due to injury. Her victory marks a breakthrough season for the 22-year-old athlete. Reflecting on her journey, Naomi said: "The last 12 months have honestly been such a crazy ride and there’s so many people that I want to thank for today, but especially my family for believing in me and supporting me."
In addition, Shaw and Partners Brand Ambassador Riley Fitzsimmons showcased his skills by taking gold in the prestigious Open Surf Ski title. His victory further highlights the extraordinary talent represented by Shaw and Partners.
At Shaw and Partners, we couldn't be prouder of Ali, Naomi and Riley’s achievements, and we are honoured to be associated with such champions.
Their success not only inspires us but also demonstrates the incredible heights that can be reached with dedication, passion, and a supportive team behind you.
Congratulations!
