What a fantastic weekend of sport on the Gold Coast with the fourth edition of the Shaw and Partners Shannon Eckstein Ironman Classic, fast becoming the most prestigious event on the surf sports calendar. 
 
Inaugurated in 2019 to mark Shannon’s retirement from the sport, the Shaw and Partners Shannon Eckstein Ironman Classic offers the same format of a traditional surf carnival: a 10-minute race combining the four main disciplines of surf life saving into a single race: swimming, board paddling, ski paddling and running.
 
Shaw and Partners extends a huge congratulations to the 750 athletes who came from far and wide to showcase their skills and compete for a massive $130,000 prize pool money. We couldn’t be happier for Shaw and Partners brand ambassadors Matt Poole and Hannah Sculley who took out their respective open iron finals and for BMD Northcliffe SLC for their open mixed gender Taplin win.
 
It is a great privilege to align ourselves with the Australian Surf Life Saving community and we look forward to continuing our fantastic partnership with Summer of Surf and BMD Northcliffe Surf Club to present this event in the years to come.
