Shaw and Partners joins What Ability as major partner Foundation01 Aug 2022

Shaw and Partners is thrilled to announce its latest partnership with What Ability, an NDIS registered support service that provides community access and utilises professional and semi professional athletes such as Maddy Proud (NSW Swifts), Angus Bell (Wallabies), Lauren Cheatle (Sydney Sixers), and a number of the Shaw and Partners sponsored Manly Sea Eagles players; Tom Trbojevic, Jake Trbojevic, Ben Trbojevic, Sean Keppie and Karl Lawton.

Founded in 2019, What Ability puts fun first and supports all abilities and ages through community access. The paramount focus; to raise awareness, break down existing stigmas and ultimately build an inclusive Australia.

Steve Dresler, What Ability CEO and Founder believes sport has the power to change the world and athletes are the key to breaking down those current barriers. “It’s great to have the support of Shaw and Partners as we aim to utilise athletes to change the sector.”

As part of the partnership, Shaw and Partners will play a pivotal role in supporting What Ability’s plan to expand across the country, launching in Victoria on October 1st, South Australia in December, and New Zealand early next year. “We wouldn’t be able to help families across the country, and provide support to these new participants and their families without the support of our partners” shared Steve.

Earl Evans, Shaw and Partners Co-CEO shared “We are delighted to partner and be involved with What Ability. A fabulous group of people building and creating wonderful life experiences for humans that through the unfortunate hand of life they have been dealt would not normally get. Giving back and helping is what Shaw and Partners prides itself on and this partnership we could not be happier with and also what What Ability stands for. Really looking forward to working together to make a difference.”

Steve is also very excited about the partnership, commenting on the ‘shared core values’ both organisations possess. “Shaw and Partners values align with our ‘What Ability Way’. With shared values and collective goals, the future looks bright for both parties, with an array of opportunities to come”.
