Last night, the Shaw and Partners Brisbane office hosted a private viewing of Chiharu Shiota's Soul Trembles exhibition at Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art for a select group of private wealth, corporate and institutional clients and friends.
Hosted by NSW State Manager Russell Karlson in absence of Colin McKenzie, it was a night to remember.
Over 200 guests were treated to fantastic food and wine, and the artwork on display was truly breathtaking.
Chiharu Shiota is renowned internationally for her transformative, large-scale installations constructed from millions of fine threads that cluster in space or form complex webs that spill from wall to floor to ceiling. Shiota’s beautiful and disquieting works express the intangible: memories, dreams, anxiety and silence.
The highlight of the night, (aside from the amazing art installation!), was the video message from our Queensland State Manager, Colin McKenzie. His heartfelt message really touched us, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Thanks to all the clients and Shaw and Partners Brisbane Advisers who made it a fabulous night.
