Shaw and Partners is proud to be the major sponsor of the South Australian Ocean & Surf Ski Paddling Series, a downwind paddling event taking place each year on the coast of metropolitan Adelaide as part of the Shaw and Partners Australian Ocean Racing Series (AORS). 

Even in the middle of COVID and with competitors from other states not able to travel, the Metro-Coast Race 1 attracted over 70 paddlers, some as young as 16.

On Saturday 28 August, all participants were able to be GPS tracked over the entire race allowing families and fans around the country to see the race unfold in real time. 

Covering the distance from Semaphore to Glenelg, in first place was Luke Jones, gold medal at the recent Australian Surf Life Saving Championships held in April on the Sunshine Coast.

Shaw and Partners extends a huge congratulations to Craig Burton and the Management Committee for working closely with Surf Life Saving SA to ensure the race was delivered to the safest possible standard during challenging racing conditions.  

Mid-Coast Race 2 is scheduled for Sunday 19 September starting at O'Sullivan Beach and finishing at Maslin Beach. You can enter the race by registering at this link.
