Shaw and Partners is pleased to be appointed as Joint Lead Manager to the Westpac Capital Notes 8 offer.
Today Westpac Banking Corporation has announced an offer of fully paid, non-cumulative, convertible, redeemable and transferable, perpetual, unsecured and subordinated notes which will be quoted on the ASX under the trading code WBCPK.
Westpac intends to raise $1 billion (issue price of $100 per note) with the ability to raise more or less. The offer includes a Reinvestment Offer, which is a priority offer to Eligible Westpac Capital Notes 4 holders to reinvest all or some of their Westpac Capital Notes 4 in the Westpac Capital Notes 8.
Margin is expected to be in the range of 2.90% to 3.10% per annum and will be determined at the end of the bookbuild. Quarterly distributions are expected to be fully franked.
