Shaw and Partners announced as Title Partner of Erebus Motorsport for 2021 Bathurst 1000 News21 Sep 2021

Erebus Motorsport has announced investment and wealth management firm Shaw and Partners as title partner for this year’s Bathurst events, both in real-life and in the virtual world.

Already a team partner, Shaw and Partners joined the Melbourne-based squad in February and will take pride of place on Will Brown and Jack Perkin’s Commodore at the season finale at Mount Panorama.

While the real-life Bathurst 1000 will not take place until early December, the firm will take centre stage for this week’s virtual event in the Supercars Eseries.

The new colours will be carried by Erebus Academy drivers Jobe Stewart and Jaylyn Robotham, who join forces for this week’s virtual enduro event.

“To develop our wonderful relationship with Shaw and Partners across this season and to see them take centre stage for both Bathurst events is fantastic,” Erebus’ Managing Director Shannen Kiely said.

“In the real world, Bathurst is the biggest event on our calendar, and with popularity in the Eseries surging it makes absolute sense for us to debut a livery for this week’s round of virtual racing.”

Though Shaw and Partners will take centre stage this week as part of the Eseries, a new livery will be unveiled for the return of real racing at Mount Panorama.

Shaw and Partners specialise in financial planning, investment solutions and corporate advisory services acting on behalf of individuals, institutions, corporates, and charities.

Their Co-Chief Executive Officer Earl Evans is thrilled to see a sneak peak of what is to come later this year.

“I’ve followed Supercars and have been a mad car fan dating right back since being a kid in the 70s,” Evans said.

“We are very excited at Shaw and Partners to have the opportunity to partner with Erebus as title sponsor for Bathurst.

“Erebus are a brilliant and very competitive team and we are thrilled with the partnership.”

Alongside Stewart and Robotham will be teammates Jarrad Filsell and Brodie Kostecki, who will represent Boost Mobile in a second entry for Erebus Motorsport.

This week’s virtual event will see 20-laps run around the 6.2-kilometre virtual circuit, with All Stars drivers needing to have completed at least 8 of those laps.

For the first time in this Eseries, the All Stars will also enter a Top 5 Shootout after either driver sets their fastest lap in qualifying.

Qualifying kicks off from 7:00pm AEST Wednesday night and will be streamed on Facebook, Twitch and YouTube.

Racing coverage will then follow from 7:30pm AEST and will be broadcast live on Fox Sports, Kayo, 7 Plus and Sky NZ.
