Over the weekend Shaw and Partners was proud to sponsor the modified Coolangatta Gold at Wanda Surf Life Saving Club, after the famous Gold Coast race was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 25km race, held at Bate Bay in the Sutherland Shire, consisted of a 12.5km ski, a 2.5km swim leg, 4.5km board and a 5.5 km run from Wanda to North Cronulla and back. The event attracted 315 keen competitors in both individual and team events who, after seven months of no racing, were itching to get back out in the ocean, vying for that top spot and the $15,000 prize pool.

Shaw and Partners extends a huge congratulations to Australian ironwoman Lizzie Welborn of Newport Surf Club for taking out the women’s open and North Bondi’s Charlie Verco who took out the men’s open in his first year of senior competition.
