Stockbroking and wealth management firm Shaw and Partners has poached a former Petra Capital managing director as its new head of capital markets.
It is understood Conrad Anderson, who spent almost five years at the George Marais-led Petra Capital, is poised to join Shaws next month.
Prior to Petra Capital, Anderson had stints at Ord Minnett and Investec.
"Conrad knows our corporate team well and will be a great fit for us," Shaws co-chief executive Earl Evans told Street Talk.
Anderson has overseen a number of equity capital markets transactions during his career, including Retail Food Group's $200 million equity raising where Petra was joint lead manager alongside Shaw and Partners.
