Shannon Eckstein has consistently produced extraordinary performances, securing more series, world championships and Australian titles than any other Ironman in history, across his much celebrated career. The Shannon Eckstein Ironman Classic will mark his retirement from the sport. 

Competitors are anticipated to come from far and wide to farewell the legend of the sport, and compete for the massive prize pool on offer.

When asked how the Shannon Eckstein Ironman Classic concept came about, Co-CEO Earl Evans referred to key parallels between the required skills and competencies of top ironmen and ironwomen athletes and Shaw and Partners Financial Services' offering, by suggesting that both equally stand for and practice preparation and execution and target performance and opportunity.  The concept “...ignited energy for the Shaw and Partners brand, putting firepower behind what Shaw and Partners Financial Services is known for; performance, innovation and opportunity,” he added.

The official launch of the Shaw and Partners Shannon Eckstein Ironman Classic event will be hosted on Monday 14 January at BMD Northcliffe Surf Life Saving Club.
