VGI Partners Limited has announced a $300 million equity raising in VGI Global Investments Ltd (ASX: VG1) together with an initial public offering (IPO) of ordinary shares in VGI Partners Limited (Manager).

The equity raising in VG1 consists of a ~$98 million placement to sophisticated investors (successfully completed on 12 May 2019 with strong investor support) and a ~$202 million pro rata renounceable entitlement offer.

Funds raised will be invested in accordance with VG1's previously disclosed investment strategy and will provide additional flexibility, including in times of market volatility.  All costs of the equity raising will be borne by VGI Partners Limited, not VG1.

Participants in the VG1 equity raising will have exclusive access to the Manager IPO –there is no other opportunity to access this IPO.  Investing $4.00 in the VG1 Equity Raising provides guaranteed eligibility to invest up to $1.00 in the Manager IPO.

VGI Partners Limited is proposing to raise up to $75.0 million, offering 13.6 million new shares at the offer price of $5.50 per share.  The company intends to list on the ASX on 21 June 2019.
