2017 Sydney Client Appreciation Event Foundation30 Nov 2017

On Thursday 30 November, Shaw and Partners hosted 1,100 high net worth clients and prospects at the Sydney Client Event, which was held at the Art Gallery of NSW.  It was a hugely successful event, showcasing Shaw and Partners as a very high-end, premium financial services provider.

Guests heard from keynote speaker David Murray, AO - Ex-CEO of CBA and Inaugural Chairman of the Australian Government Future Fund Board of Guardians - who talked to his paper “The Trust Deficiency in Banking and How to Fix it”.

Guests were treated to a myriad of mouth-watering culinary delights including Moran Family lamb cutlets, snow crab sliders, mushroom and truffle risotto balls and a freshly shucked oyster bar.

All clients were given the opportunity to have a private viewing of the Rembrandt and Dutch Golden Age Masterpieces exhibition from the renowned national collection of the Rijksmuseum, Netherlands.

Over $16,000 was raised for Care Australia – with the assistance of the Shaw Foundation which dollar matched all money raised on the evening through the raffle – an international humanitarian aid organisation fighting global poverty, with a special focus on women and girls.  www.care.org.au

Shaw and Partners selected Care Australia as a result of their sponsorship of athlete paddler Sarah Davis, who will be the first woman attempting to paddle the Nile in a gruelling nine month expedition commencing at the beginning of next year.  Sarah also addressed the guests on the evening.

The event comes off the back of the Shaw and Partners Melbourne Client Appreciation Event, held in October this year, with guest speakers Brian Tanti, an internationally respected car restorer and Bec Daniher, daughter of Neil Daniher, AFL Legend and Patron of Cure for MND Foundation.
