Shaw and Partners co-chief executive and 33-year veteran Allan Zion will retire from the business at the end of this financial year, Street Talk can reveal.
Current co-chief Earl Evans will take on the sole chief executive role from July 1.
Zion has been with Shaws since 1991 and a member of the board since 1998. He will remain a director and member of the audit and risk committee.
In an internal staff email, seen by Street Talk, chairman Steve Jacobs thanked Zion for his many years of service.
“We wish Allan all the best in his retirement, having built Shaw and Partners into what it is today over the past 33 years.
An incredible story. And we look forward to working with him in his new full-time board role,” Jacobs said.
Evans told staff the business would continue to be managed the same way he and Zion ran it over the past nine years.'
